A Mindful Yoga Studio is located in the Historic Times Building at 63 East Main Street in Westminster, Maryland (across from the old firehouse clock tower). The studio is on the second floor in Suite 7. The studio offers a variety of Yoga Asana classes that range in levels of challenge and specific intention, as well as Group Meditation weekly and Yoga Nidra Practice. Outdoor Yoga practice events are offered seasonally.
With over 25 years of collective teaching experience, it is the intention of the directors of the studio to offer these practices with integrity and authenticity in order to promote the fullest potential of each individual. As the words of Yogi Joseph Lepage convey quite beautifully, “We can view the physical practices of Yoga as a drop of water falling into a pool. It begins with the physical asanas and expands outward as healing, concentric circles, bringing balance and harmony to body, mind, and spirit. This is the Yoga process.”

CLASS FEES AND POLICIES
Yoga class cards can be purchased at the studio with cash or check. You may also choose to purchase your cards online below. Please bring a digital or paper copy of the receipt with you to class. For any questions, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

6 Yoga class card - $75 each
Card is effective for 60 days from the first use. Card is usable for any regularly scheduled Yoga class offered at the studio. Please print the purchase confirmation receipt and bring it with you to the first class or bring a digital receipt on your phone. AMYS staff will create your 6 class card from this receipt and maintain your card up to date for you.
12 Yoga class card - $125 each
Card is effective for 90 days from the first use. Card is usable for any regularly scheduled Yoga class offered at the studio. Please print the purchase confirmation receipt and bring it with you to the first class or bring a digital receipt on your phone. AMYS staff will create your 12 class card from this receipt and maintain your card up to date for you.
Drop in single Yoga class - $14.00 each
Pay for your single Yoga class visit online. Please print the purchase confirmation receipt and bring it with you to the studio when you are ready to practice. Or, using your mobile device, simply display the PayPal Payment Receipt e-mail that you have received electronically. AMYS staff will record you as a paid drop-in participant from either confirmation path.

New to Yoga?
This beginners’ information page is being presented to help you find the right class for you - wherever you are. Now, please consider what you are looking for in a Yoga class and consider your current level of physical activity. These are both important considerations.
If you want our gentlest yoga class, try “Restorative Yoga.” The focus of this class is on keeping the joints mobile and very gently toning and lengthening the muscles while quieting the chatter in the mind.
Any class that says “Gentle,” “Level 1” or “Beginner” is suitable for most people. These classes set a foundation to build strength, flexibility and balance. Many students stick with these classes for years as the teachers offer ways to increase or decrease the challenge based on the students’ needs.
Classes that use the words “Flow” or “Vinyasa” in their description will have students moving through postures. These classes are fine for active beginners. There will be a degree of physical challenge, but always grounded in the principle of moving with care and consideration for the body and the breath.
“Integrative Yoga” and any classes that say “Level 2”, “Mixed Level” or “Intermediate” will be suitable for people with some Yoga experience. These classes will help students deepen their practice with introspection and a greater awareness of the breath and body together.
Our Contemplative Practices are for everyone. There is often a mix of those brand new to meditation and those who’ve practiced for years. We come together to support and learn from each other. We hope that you’ll feel comfortable to join us!
We do our best to remain true to our studio name. Our focus is on offering everyone a chance to step into a space that is supportive and nurturing. Our teachers want to help each student feel better in their bodies and explore their own unique potential.
To really discover what Yoga has to offer you, we recommend trying several different classes at a pace that’s right for you. Many people spend most of the first class trying to figure out where to put their hands and feet! A great way to begin is to purchase our 6 class card. It’s good for 2 months and can be used for any classes on our regular Yoga Class Schedule. Yoga is not one size fits all. Give us a try, feel free to speak with your teacher, and feel free to explore the same class or others.
